Nursery Ltd.
Smit Nursery produces 1.8 million cut flowers while operating state-of-the-art
movable greenhouses that can be repositioned to cover different crops
at different times the year. With this unique system, Smit Nursery can
force flowers to bloom earlier or delay flowers so they bloom later. The
end result is that they produce almost double the amount of cut flowers
as a stationary greenhouse of similar size.

experienced enormous growth over the years. They currently employ 110
full time employees and utilize 1.1 million square feet of growing space

day-to-day tasks. Echo basket systems dominate its newer facilities allowing
all basket work to be completed from the main walkway.
